In 2017, the Delaware General Assembly passed a law that codified the rulings of Roe v. Wade and its subsequent cases with respect to abortion rights and access. The General Assembly did this to protect for Delaware’s women the right and access to an abortion just in case a conservative Trump Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade or otherwise restricted access to abortion services.
But there is still some anti-abortion rights language in the Delaware code that makes it a crime to facilitate an abortion or to cause an abortion. So House Bill 31 is a bill that simply removes that language. Seriously, this is the bill below, and look at all that strikethrough font:

The bill has cleared the House Health & Human Development Committee and now goes to the full chamber for a vote.
