Gonzales Research and Media, a polling outfit that is based out of Maryland, has conducted and released a poll of Delaware voters concerning Delaware candidates! Hallelujah! This poll was conducted between January 16 and 21, 2020. A total of 410 registered voters in Delaware, who indicated that they are likely to vote in the 2020 general election, were queried by live telephone interviews, utilizing both landline (35%) and cell phone (65%). The margin of error is +/- 5 percent. Here are the results:
PRESIDENT TRUMP APPROVAL — 45% approve of the job Trump is doing as president, while 51% disapprove, with 4% offering no opinion.
“Ninety-one percent of Republicans approve of the job Trump is doing, but 79% of Delaware Democrats disapprove, as do 50% of independents. By gender; 43% of women approve and 54% disapprove, while 48% of men approve of the job Donald Trump is doing and 47% disapprove. Among African Americans in Delaware, only 12% approve and 87% disapprove of the job he is doing as president.”
GENERAL ELECTION MATCHUPS — Biden 56%, Trump 40% / Sanders 47%, Trump 46% / Warren 49%, Trump 46% / Buttigieg 50%, Trump 45% /
Bloomberg 48, Trump 47%.
Biden does the best, Warren and Buttigieg do ok, and Sanders and Bloomberg do the worst, both only leading by 1.
GOVERNOR CARNEY APPROVAL – 49% of Delaware voters approve of the job Governor John Carney is doing in Dover, while 28% disapprove, and 23% offer no opinion. By party, 61% of Democrats, 24% of Republicans, and 58% of independents approve of the job Carney is doing as governor.
SENATOR CARPER APPROVAL –50% of voters approve of the job U.S. Senator Tom Carper is doing in Washington, while 35% disapprove, with 15% offering no judgment. By party, 73% of Democrats, 16% of Republicans, and 47% of independents approve of the job Carper is doing as a United States senator.
SENATOR COONS APPROVAL — 55% of voters of the job Coons is doing, while 34% disapprove, and 11% offer no opinion. Seventy-three percent of Democrats, 16% of Republicans, and 47% of independents approve of Coons.
CONGRESSWOMAN BLUNT ROCHESTER APPROVAL — 49% of voters approve of the job Lisa is doing, while 22% disapprove, and 29% have no opinion.
73 percent approval for Coons…That primary is looking tougher and tougher

These results aren’t surprising. Delaware may be blue but a majority of the D voters aren’t progressive.

As for me, as AOC has said – our swing voters are not in the center, they are people who haven’t voted much in the past.
