The incomprehensible reason given by the White House was that Marine One was grounded due to the rain, and there was no Plan B, like driving the 50 minutes from Paris to the memorial site like all the other world leaders did. Further, helicopters work in rain, as do other Presidents who were much better men than Trump.

Andrew Gillum (D) withdrew his concession to Ron DeSantis (R) in the Florida governor’s race on Saturday, hours after the secretary of state announced a recount of their race and two others, CNN reports. President Trump blamed “mismanagement” of California’s forests for ongoing deadly wildfires, threatening to withhold federal payments after multiple blazes killed 9 people and prompted evacuation orders for some 250,000 state residents, Politico reports.
Said Trump: “There is no reason for these massive, deadly and costly forest fires in California except that forest management is so poor. Billions of dollars are given each year, with so many lives lost, all because of gross mismanagement of the forests. Remedy now, or no more Fed payments!”

First, he and his Republican Congress cut funding for forest management on federal lands, which, by the way, account for all but 2% of California’s open land. So if the President is looking for someone to blame for a forest fire, look in the fucking mirror. Second, these wildfires are caused by dry conditions and wind, which are both exasperated by climate change. So I am not sure what forest management would work to alleviate those conditions. Does he think that California should be constantly watering all vegetation in the state?

Then, after the 2:20 seconds of video ran their course, the cop car trailing behind throws on their lights, pulls Castile over and then, 40 seconds later, Castile is shot dead… No one would’ve mentioned being black in Castile’s pledge video… No one mentioned being black in the dashcam audio… But the painful reality was that while being black wasn’t mentioned in any of the videos I’m talking about, be they your “Haha, I got you, Cassandra” video link or my reimagined/hypothetical Philadro Castile video, being black and the risk that society, government, police, etc., will treat you differently because of it will always be an inescapable part of the equation.
So crawl back in your hole, stroke your Bill O’Reilly and Judge Janine dolls, and remember that you have yet to bring anything of value and consequence to a single discussion here on this site.
