House Passes Equal Rights Amendment

The Constitutional Amendment passed the House with the required 2/3 margin, 34-5, with 2 absent. The Republicans who believe women are not equal and undeserving of rights are Rich Collins, Tim Dukes, Charles Postles, Dave Wilson and Lyndon Yearick.

Matthew Bittle has a statement from Collins: “Rep. Rich Collins, R-Millsboro, said he fears an equal rights amendment prohibiting discrimination based on sex would strengthen the state’s case for creating a regulation allowing students to self-identify gender.”

So he doesn’t want to outlaw sex discrimination because he still wants to discriminate against Transgendered persons.  He wants to discriminate dammit!
