The House passed a very good bill, House Bill 11, that requires new commercial buildings with a foundation footprint of 50,000 square feet or greater to meet certain requirements to ensure that their roof is able to support solar energy infrastructure.
For reasons passing human understanding, Representative Sean Matthews (D) voted no with all the Republicans (minues the two that were absent). The rest of the Democrats voted yes.
