I have been name dropping Bryan Townsend’s name in speculation as to who will run for the Congressional seat once the game of music chairs begins when Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester announces she is running for the U.S. Senate to succeed Senator Tom Carper.
Now Inside Elections does the mentioning. I mean, it’s not rocket science, the man ran for the seat in 2016 against LBR, who beat him 44% to 25%. So it stands to reason that me might want to try again.
Eugene Young is currently conducting a “listening tour” in all three counties this week. The first one for New Castle county was held yesterday, and he announced that he will be running for Congress if LBR does run for the Senate. Here is the video of that annoucement.
