An unnamed advisor for State Senator Sarah McBride tells Bloomberg she would be “quite likely” to run for the U.S. House in the event that Democratic Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester seeks the open Senate seat.
And now the National Journal also name-drops two other legislators who could seek the party’s nomination to replace Blunt Rochester: state Rep. Kerri Evelyn Harris, who challenged Sen. Tom Carper from the left in the 2018 primary, and state Sen. Elizabeth Lockman.
In my opinion, Lockman and Harris won’t run if McBride is running. If McBride doesn’t run, than it’s finally a free for all. You could see Senator Bryan Townsend, who has run for Congress before, get in, in addition to Lockman and Harris.
