The House unanimoulsy passed House Bill 81 on Tuesday. This bill holds that a school district may deny a request from a charter school located within the district to have that school district transport its students residing in that district.
If the school district denies the request, the bill provides that the charter school is to receive the payment provided by the State under existing law.
The bill is now in the Senate Education Committee.
