House Bill 45 is a bill that will clarify that a child’s developmental screening will not be conducted if a parent declines the screening or notifies the licensee that the child is already receiving early intervention services or special education and related services. Further, the bill clarifies that the child care provider will conduct the screening where the parent or guardian fails to do so only upon receipt of parental consent.
This bill has already been released from the House Education Committee and is now on the Ready List in the House.
