Senate Bill 218 will prohibit discrimination by insurance companies against individuals who are living organ donors when any decision is made on the individual’s medical, life, disability or health insurance policies.
Their status as a living organ donor cannot be used in any decision to offer, deny, increase, decrease, approve or cancel insurance coverage.
At least 20 states have similar laws, including Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
This bill is a no brainer. If anyone votes against this, they are an immoral cretin destined for hellfire.
