As part of the effort to address the budget deficit back in 2017 and 2018, the General Assembly eliminated a $500 property tax credit for seniors. House Bill 108 is a bill that will restore that tax credit. I don’t have a problem with that, so long as the state finances allow it. I will not be fine with restoring this credit, or repealing the 1% increase in the realty transfer tax that was also instituted back then, if we are still going to be cutting programs and services due to COVID budget constraints this year. House Bill 108 does have bipartisan sponsorship, as you can see below in this chart.

The senior tax credit was REDUCED not eliminated. The bill filed restores the credit to the original level.
