There are a few instances of famous architects contributing to the building stock in Delaware. I.M. Pei designed this highrise on 12th Street in Wilmington. Wilmington Tower, now known as 1105 Market Street, was completed in 1971 and is 286 feet tall. It resembles Pei’s Municipal Center in Dallas, Texas, which was completed in 1977. Pei took the design for this tower and proposed two identical buildings for Columbia University in New York City. Photo by xzmattzx.
