Please sign this Petition opposing DRPI Landfill Expansion

Please add your name to this petition to Governor John Carney and Secretary Shawn Garvin, the Secretary for the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC), urging them to deny a permit to increase the height of the Delaware Recyclable Products, Inc. (DRPI) landfill from 130 feet to 190 feet. This permit modification is being sought so that DRPI can expand its operations to handle waste being imported from out of state.

The landfill’s new height would immediately become an eyesore not only to community adjacent to it, but to those visitors in the Wilmington Riverfront and the Jack Markell Trial nearby. The expanded landfill would also endanger the surrounding the environment with more pollution.
