The Sussex County Courthouse, on the Circle in Georgetown. The courthouse was completed in 1839, in a Federal style. The portico and tower were added in 1914. Georgetown was founded in 1791 when the county government was moved here from Lewes. The location was selected for being about 16 miles from anywhere in the county. Photo by xzmattzx.
