Walker’s Mill, on Rising Sun Lane in Henry Clay Village. The mill was built in 1815, when an embargo on British goods was in place. Many Irish came to work in the numerous factories along the Brandywine River, like this one. In the distance is Rockford Tower, in Wilmington. Photo by xzmattzx.
