For those who don’t know, Christina Jedra is an investigative reporter for the NJ and an EXCELLENT one. She has been trying to obtain email correspondence between BPG and officials in the City of Wilmington and between BPG and the Governor’s office. The NJ challenged the City’s cost estimate to retrieve the FOIA’ed emails and the DE DOJ upheld the City’s estimates.
The Governor’s office denied the FOIA request and is objecting to an appeal to release these emails by claiming Executive Privilege. So Christina is looking for input from citizens of Delaware (from her Facebook page):
I need your help. The governor’s office is arguing they shouldn’t have to turn over emails between themselves and the Buccini/Pollin Group. They say the governor should be allowed to have these conversations in secret — perhaps unless I demonstrate that the public interest in the records is greater than Carney’s desire for privacy.
You’re the public. Are you interested in seeing correspondence between your governor and BPG? If so, why do you feel it’s important? Be specific.

What do you think? Share your thoughts and WHY over on Christina’s FB page, or at her Twitter handle.
Go to her page or Twitter handle and repost her request. Definitely respond with your thoughts about why these emails should not be protected AND DO IT AT HER FB PAGE or TWITTER PAGE. Repost what you say to her here, definitely, but make sure she sees your response at her FB and Twitter sites.
