NCCo Fundraiser — Don Allen, 36th Representative District Candidate

We’ve talked about this fantastic progressive candidate running in red Sussex. Harvey Kenton held this seat for a few cycles and is stepping down. The Mayor of Milford, Bryan Shupe is the GOP opponent.

Don has been working hard since he announced in January — door knocking and going to any event where he can speak to voters. He’s a genuinely great candidate for this area — he is a young, working class man raising a family looking to advocate for the people in his district who need the government to work better for them in some crucial areas. He’s concerned about the pollution and wastewater coming from the Harim plant that is threatening (or contaminating now) Beaver Creek and potentially local wells. The state of drinking water is an issue throughout Sussex and Don has been engaged in listening to voter concerns about this. You can see more on his positions here.

Don is going to take a rare break from his campaigning to come up to NCCo for a fundraiser being organized by Delaware United.

WHEN: Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 6 PM – 9 PM
WHERE: James Street Tavern; 2 S James St, Newport, Delaware 19804

Progressives have racked up some wins this cycle and it would be great to help Don win in Sussex. Come out and help Don finish his fantastic campaign strong.

You can do two things:

Go to Facebook and mark yourself as going to this event.

Buy yourself a ticket to the event. Even if you can’t make it in person, throw in a few bucks to buy a ticket. Every little bit helps!

See you there!

  1. Yes.. and…

    Third thing, send Don money.
Fourth thing, knock doors for Don.
Fifth, buy Joshua W a nice meal.
Sixth, if you are in his district, vote for Don.

    And so on.
