Delaware Elections

Hey, a Local Poll!

The University of Delaware’s Center for Political Communication has conducted a poll that finds both Senator Carper and Congresswoman Rochester enjoying 30 point leads with less than 41 days to go until the election.  Here are the numbers:

U.S. SENATETom Carper 61, Rob Arlett 24

CONGRESSLisa Blunt Rochester 58, Scott Walker 28

The poll was conducted from Sept. 11 to 17.  The poll indicates that both Carper and Rochester are winning across almost every demographic and all three counties.   Carper is winning 25% of likely Republican voters.  Rochester wins 11% of Republicans.

  1. Maybe I’m missing it, but is there a link to the actual poll results available anywhere with county breakdown, etc.?

    • Not yet. I checked the UDCPC’s site before posting and found nothing. And there were no links in the stories. I expect that the UDCPC had an exclusive deal with the News Journal and State News that delays release of the full results from the UDCPC for a couple days. That happens with most polls. When it is released, we will have a more in depth second post.
