Middletown Gun Safety Panel on Monday Evening

There will be a bipartisan panel for a community conversation on gun safety and legislation currently before the General Assembly. The Panelists are Senators Brian Pettyjohn (R), Bryan Townsend (D), and Anthony Delcollo (R), and former Chief Deputy Attorney General Kathleen Jennings (D), who is also currently a candidate for Attorney General this year.

They will take part in a moderated discussion before answering questions from the public. Questions may also be submitted for consideration online during the forum or in advance via this online survey.

WHEN: Monday, April 16. A moderated panel discussion will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by Q&A from 7:30 – 8:30 p.m.

    So I’ll ask the obvious question… Why are the three legislator participants from districts that are nowhere near where this gun safety panel is being held? (“distance” being relative, since everything is near everything in Delaware)…

    Why no Stephanie Hansen, Quinn Johnson, Bruce Ennis, Kevin Hensley, Earl Jaques, and Jeff Spiegelman, since that’s the group whose districts at least touch the MOT areas?

    Why is an AG candidiate who was in office during Wilmington’s worst years of gun violence and murder rates speaking about gun control?

      By that same token, you could also say “Why is a state legislator who thought it’d be kosher to bring his handgun on an airplane speaking about gun control?”

      Do you have any idea what a deputy AG actually does? Hint: They’re not out there making arrest, nor are they out there making policy.
