March for our Lives in Delaware

In two weeks, March for our Lives, a new organization created by the student survivors of the Stoneman Douglas High School Shooting in Parkland, Florida, will be marching on Washington.  Local chapters in all 50 students will be holding local marches in their states.  Our chapter here in Delaware has provided the following information regarding the March for our Lives in Delaware on March 24 at 10 am.  Please also watch their video:

We will be marching from Howard High School to Rodney Square, where there will be a rally to follow. The march will start at 10:00 am and the rally at Rodney Square will begin around 11:00 am and run until around 2:00pm. The rally will include music, informational vendors educating the public on ways we can prevent gun violence in Delaware, and speakers ranging from the students who helped organize the march to some of the sponsors of current gun legislation.

March for Our Lives is created by, inspired by and led by students across the country who will no longer risk their lives waiting for someone else to take action to stop the epidemic of mass school shootings that has become all too familiar. In the tragic wake of seventeen lives brutally cut short in Florida, politicians are telling us that now is not the time to talk about guns. March for Our Lives believes the time is now.
