Not Funny

We have extremely short memories.

“Is there anyone who can say how big the audience is? Sean do you know?” Colbert asked as former White House press secretary Sean Spicer walked out on stage rolling a mobile podium that became a staple of actress Melissa McCarthy’s impersonation of Spicer on Saturday Night Live.

“This will be the largest audience to witness an Emmys period, both in person and around the world,” he shouted, mocking himself and the remarks he made during his first White House press briefing on the day of Trump’s inauguration when he scolded journalists for reports that the crowd was larger at former President Barack Obama’s inaugurations.

Glad we can laugh it up with a liar. Does anything matter anymore?

  1. Yeah, this is definitely not funny, definitely not cute. What’s remarkable about this is that “Hollywood Liberals” are supposed to be so deluded and here they are helping to rehabilitate this liar. Up next — the Mooch will be guest hosting on TMZ and THE View shortly. Seriously. It is how they normalize this shit.

    • This just reinforces my belief that never watching the Emmys and not having a TV for years has made my a better person.

  2. Here we go:

If you’re going to have lines in the opening number like “Imagine if your president wasn’t beloved by Nazis,” then maybe it’s not a good idea to have the administration’s Goebbels ride out on a motorized podium like a cute punchline. When Charlie Chaplin shot “The Great Dictator,” he didn’t fly Erwin Rommel over for a cameo to show that the Third Reich are good sports.
