The Leauge of Women Voters of New Castle County is holding a forum this coming Saturday, September 9 on a topic that we all cannot believe is still relevant today, but it is. That topic is Human Trafficking. The forum is at 9 am at Peniel United Methodist Church at 115 East Market Street in Newport, DE 19804.
The forum will feature a presentation by the founder and Executive Director of Zoë Ministries, Yolanda Schlabach; Commissioner Mary McDonough, Delaware Court of Common Pleas, Human Trafficking Court; Commissioner Loretta Young, Delaware Family Court; Maj. Daniel Meadows of the Delaware State Police; Nancy McGee, Coordinator, Sexual Assault Network of Delaware, ContactLifeline, Inc.; Johanna Bishop, Director, Behavioral Sciences Program, Wilmington University; and Cheri Collins and Sandy Bowman of Meet Me at the Well
This event is free and open to the public; however, pre-registration is requested. Email lwvncc@comcast.net by the end of today, Sept. 5, using the subject line “Attending Sept. 9 Event” and providing your name.
