Laura Sturgeon is running for the Senate in the 4th Senate District. She is a public school teacher with 23 years experience. She serves on the Brandywine Education Association Executive Committee and on the DSEA Executive Board. She is running as a progressive pragmatist, which of course is right up my ally and is necessary for the type of district hers is.
As you can see, her district covers Hockessin, Greenville and Chateau Country. It is currently occupied by one of the most cynical and dishonest Republicans that this state has seen in many decades, Greg Lavelle. Lavelle, an outspoken member of the Republican General Assembly leadership, was a principal opponent of bringing fairness to our tax code by having the wealthy pay more.
