Delaware Education General Assembly

Wilmington Rally to Fund Our Schools

This is from the invite to the Education Funding Campaign’s Facebook page announcing a rally on Monday to preserve funding for schools, but other critical programs as well. This is going to be on Rt 202, across from the Hollywood Grill, in Greg Lavelle’s district as Senator Lavelle has been leading the obstruction on this vital issue. Can you come on Monday right after work?

Right now the State of Delaware’s budget is facing a ~$350 million shortfall, and our schools are facing huge cuts. In addition to education, critical programs are facing cuts throughout Delaware, including health, social services, and the arts. We need to raise the funds necessary to avoid deep cuts that cost us all later.

Come to this rally to show your support for Delaware’s future and ensure we have long-term budget solutions that protect these programs.
