Today is International Women’s Day and Trump thought it would be a good idea to chime in!
I have tremendous respect for women and the many roles they serve that are vital to the fabric of our society and our economy.

And…
On International Women's Day, join me in honoring the critical role of women here in America & around the world.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 8, 2017
Is he serious, or just trolling? This is a man who said:
-Trump: Yeah, that’s her. With the gold. I better use some Tic Tacs just in case I start kissing her. You know, I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. […] Grab ’em by the pussy. You can do anything.
-Women: “You have to treat ’em like shit.” (New York magazine, Nov. 9, 1992)
-“26,000 unreported sexual assults in the military-only 238 convictions. What did these geniuses expect when they put men & women together?” (Tweet, May 2013)
-“You know, it doesn’t really matter what [the media] write as long as you’ve got a young and beautiful piece of ass.” — from an interview with Esquire, 1991
-“I mean, we could say politically correct that look doesn’t matter, but the look obviously matters,” Trump said to a female reporter in a clip featured on “Last Week Tonight.” “Like you wouldn’t have your job if you weren’t beautiful.”
-“If Hillary Clinton can’t satisfy her husband what makes her think she can satisfy America?” Trump retweeted this in April 2015.
-“You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever.” referring to Megyn Kelly. He later called her a bimbo.
And I haven’t even touched on his policies:
Defunding Planned Parenthood
Immigration: Separating Mothers (and fathers) from their children
Charging women more for health care
Not to mention the number of women in Trump’s cabinet.
There’s really just too much of this for me to post. Feel free to add examples of Trump honoring and respecting women in the comments.
It reminds me of when you confront a racist, the first words are always “I’m no racist!”. Trump’s tweets would be laughable, if his intent was not almost always bad, sad, pathetic etc.
Thank you Pandora. Had to immediately pop this link on my FB page. Still staggered and stymied by the “college-educated white women” from the Philadelphia suburbs — and their ilk — who voted for this piece of human garbage.
I’m still trying to live with the fact that so many Americans decided that sexual assault was not a disqualifier for being President. It certainly would have if Barack Obama had been shown to be an offender.
You’re welcome, Mac, and thanks for sharing!
This election reeked of privilege. Trump got so many “boys will be boys” passes – or should I say, “white boys will be white boys” because like Cassandra says… the rules are different and there is no way Barack Obama would have been given a pass on sexual assault.
